Hair removal by waxing has become synonymous with a painful, unpleasant experience. Indeed, many salons still fail to recognise the important steps that need to be taken prior to the wax application itself in order to minimise the discomfort experienced by the client. This "hurried" approach can leave clients feeling short-changed by a therapist and in un-necessary discomfort.
At Shed 7 Health & Beauty, Donna recognises the fact that even waxing can be viewed as a positive and relaxing salon experience. Her tried and tested waxing technique uses a pre-wax treatment to soften the skin and gently relax the pores. This allows the waxing itself to much more efficient and far less uncomfortable. At the end of the treatment, a post-wax balm is applied to the waxed area to soothe and calm the skin.
Donna uses a variety of warm waxes for hair removal including creme, tea-tree and honey wax and occasionally chocolate wax!!
